Fairways of Grand Beach is a beautifully renovated 5 bed, 2 bath home located in the charming village of Grand Beach, MI. This spacious house sits on a large lot high on a sand dune, offering stunning views of the 6th fairway and park area, just two blocks from the beautiful waves of Lake Michigan. Guests at this prime spot enjoy two large decks, a year-round 8-person hot tub, an 8-chair fire pit, and a four-person golf cart available in season (May through mid-Nov). The golf cart can be utilized on the 9-hole public golf course in the village and throughout the streets, making it one of the most desirable Grand Beach rentals. The property is set on a secluded street, providing a private retreat that is fully stocked for a wonderful stay, perfect for enjoying some downtime in the idyllic village of Grand Beach, MI, nestled in the heart of Michigan's Harbor Country.

This house, a 100-year-old cottage, underwent a complete update in 2021 while preserving the charm of its original structure. Guests are welcomed into a cozy environment featuring tongue and groove ceilings, original bead board on the first floor, and newly refinished original pine floors throughout. The numerous windows provide a picturesque view of the expansive wooded lot from the first floor.

Furnishings in the home are high-end and comfortable, primarily from Ethan Allen and Crate & Barrel. Custom knotty pine cabinets add to the cottage feel. All systems including heating, air conditioning, electric, water heater, roof, appliances, and TVs are new. The heating and air conditioning unit also features a bonus air scrubber that combats viruses. Additional amenities include 200mbps high-speed internet, 125 TV channels, a gas fireplace with remote start, and a Weber gas grill.

The spacious layout includes large rooms allowing guests to enjoy time together or spread out as desired. The kitchen is well-stocked, and a washer and dryer are conveniently on the premises. This house exudes a happy vibe; large rooms, high ceilings, and expansive spaces ensure guests will never feel cramped. The outdoor areas provide pure relaxation with comfortable chairs and an inviting setting. The fire pit area features 8 brand-new comfy Adirondack chairs, making it the perfect spot to unwind. You'll long to return after hearing the waves crashing and feeling the refreshing breezes off Lake Michigan, just a few blocks away in beautiful Southwest Michigan.

Grand Beach Amenities

Grand Beach has two small beaches within the village that only residents and guests can use. In addition, we have a basketball court, tennis courts, volleyball court and playground. The village has a 9 hole golf course a 1/4 mile from the house and the golf cart can be used both on the course and for getting around the village.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge a service or travelers fee?

Never! Since you will be renting directly from us (the owners), there is no 3rd party overhead or marketing to cover. This is the sole reason we decided to build this site…to keep money in your pocket! Service fees charged by the OTA’s (Online Travel Agencies) for staying a week with us in the summer can be as high as $400. We firmly believe that you can better use this money at local restaurants and shops during your stay. 98% of our returning guests book direct with us vs. through an OTA because of the fee. That said I know some of you are tied to your credit card points so of course, feel free to book via any one of the OTA’s we’re listed on.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Yes, we require a minimum stay of 2 nights during most periods throughout the year. During the summer high season we are weekly only and certainly holidays may require more than two nights.

How do I reserve Fairways of Grand Beach and what are your payment terms?

When you decide on your arrival and departure dates, you can request a stay via the “Contact Us” inquiry option here on the site. Once we confirm the rates and dates, we’ll put together an occupancy agreement for review and signature. This agreement, coupled with your deposit, is due within five days and then your reservation will be officially confirmed. We will place a hold on your dates for those days while we await your agreement and deposit. We require 50% of the total rental rate (lodging + cleaning + tax) along with the occupancy agreement to secure the reservation. 45 days from your arrival, the remaining 50% + security deposit is due. Our standing security deposit is $350. Assuming there are no damages at your departure, the refundable damage deposit will be returned within 10 calendar days. If your arrival is within 45 days of booking, the full amount is due with the booking along with the signed occupancy agreement.

What forms of payments do you accept?

Currently, we accept a hard copy personal check and Venmo. As a small operation, we’ve opted for these vehicles at this point for payment.

How do I check into your property?

Fairways has a keyless entry system and you’re assigned a code prior to your arrival. Both doors to the main area of the house are keyless.

What is your cancellation policy?

The deposit is refundable less a 10% cancellation fee (not to exceed $200) outside of 60 days prior to your arrival date. No refunds are given if your cancellation is received less than 60 days prior to your arrival date unless we re-rent the property for those same dates. In that case, only the cancellation fee applies. There is no refund for early departure.

Is smoking allowed on the property?

Fairways is a smoke free home and smoking can only take place outside of the home. If it is determined that someone smoked in the home while occupying the house, a fee of up to $200 can be levied for your stay. If/when smoking outside, please know that our deck is all wood and we are up in the trees with leaves, etc., all about.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs are allowed (up to two) but require pre-approval and there is a $50 fee charged per stay. No cats are allowed due to serious allergies by the owners and their children.

A must do if you're in the area. "World Famous" (or so they say) Oink's is a hit with the kids and adults alike. Their menu is as long as your tax form.

To be honest, we always get it to go, especially when we're enjoying our time in the Fairways of Grand Beach or exploring Grand Beach rentals.
